Donate to uplift the lives of people in your community

Too many people in our communities are unable to get the help and support they need for their health and wellbeing.

  • People suffering with poor mental health are often unable to access vital services from an overstretched NHS. Too many people are left to spiral down into despair and depression.
  • Many of our older community members face chronic loneliness. This is just as damaging to their health as smoking heavily.
  • People facing or living with dementia have little information and support. They risk a more rapid decline without mental stimulation and social interaction.
  • Many people under the probation system have little help with their mental health and gaining the confidence and purpose they need to get their lives back on track.

The good news is that your support can help provide activities and courses that could help people in all of these groups within our communities.

Helping People Age Well

Our activities, such as movement to music and arts and craft, provide vital creative engagement opportunities that foster connection, reduce isolation, and promote wellbeing. This directly contributes to keeping older community members healthier and living independently for longer. Your support could have a profound effect on an older person’s health and happiness.

Feedback from our Ageing Well sessions

“You come in here and you’re feeling a bit depressed or a bit down. But when you go out that door at lunchtime you feel lifted, up lifted and it’s great”

“I haven’t seen my mother so engaged and animated in ages. It was lovely to see.”

Feedback from our creative workshops

“I’ve been feeling fragile for a few months. Following the session after being encouraged, and supported, I felt much better”

“I went under big time this winter, and this course has been one of the things I could hold on to – to lift myself through, or just – hold on to, at least!”

Promoting Dementia Awareness

Our work helps people facing dementia, as well as their families, carers and the wider community, to understand more about it. This can often lead to earlier diagnosis. Our groundbreaking dementia awareness play, Navigating Margaret, has moved and inspired many audiences already. Your support could help us take the play to even more communities in our area.

Feedback on Navigating Margaret

“A really good way of educating us about dementia – far more effective than a talk. Good to show dementia from two points of view – the person with dementia
and effect of family”

Wonderful. Magical. Informative. Helps dispel the
fear and concern around dementia”
